Questionmark Perception is packaged as Perception for Windows and Perception for Web. Perception for windows in used to create, deliver and report on assessments using the Windows PC platform. Perception for Web is used to administer assessments using the Internet or Intranets. Although the base modules are the same we have described their implementation in the table below:

.....And much, much more! Questionmark Perception's authoring tool allows you to create, import and design questions in a number of different formats called question types. You can organize questions into topics and sub-topics, shuffle choices, and include question-specific graphics and styles. Topics can be assigned "Topic Outcomes" for you to detail topic based feedback based on the score achieved for that specific topic. Questions can be selected by an assessment by topic, or by a combination of "tags", that may be assigned during the creation process.Items can be assigned a status of "Normal", "Incomplete", or "Retired" to ensure that only valid questions are used. Background "wallpaper" can be used to promote a certain look and feel for your questions. The Windows based authoring (WBA) software allows you to create more question types than the browser based authoring (BBA) tool. The table below list the types available:
